Join us for Serve Day, a special opportunity to step outside the walls of the church and make a difference together. We’ll have a variety of service projects available, giving you the chance to choose a project that fits your interests, gifts, and availability.

Below are the service projects and descriptions:

• SVCC

  • Volunteers needed: 10–15 people

  • Start time: 9:00 AM

  • Address: Salinas Valley Community Church

  • Tasks:

    • Remove, replace, and paint corral fencing along the property line

    • Wash SVCC signs along streets and in parking lot locations

    • Wash windows

    • Pressure wash playground equipment

    • Repair playground and fencing

    • Remove cobwebs from exterior buildings

    • Haul cedar chips in wheelbarrows and spread them around playground equipment

    • Pressure wash sidewalks

  • Bring:

    • Wheelbarrows

    • Paint clothes

    • Tape measure

    • Cordless drills

    • Rubber boots if pressure washing

• Teen Moms Inc. - VOLUNTEERS FILLED

    • Decorate cards to include in the birthday bags

• Wonderwood Ranch

  • Volunteers needed: 10–12 people

• Chinatown - Closer Walk

  • Volunteers needed: Approximately 18+ people, depending on which projects are completed

    • Pressure wash sidewalk and bricks / clean windows — 1 person

    • Sort and organize clothing closet and shoe racks — 4 people

    • Organize extra closet — 1 person

    • Fix kitchen cabinet, hang mop holder, and install shelf in clothing closet — 1 person

    • Build a shed — 4 people

    • Build new shelving unit in pantry and organize — 1 person

    • Add new rug

    • Mural — 4 people

• John Gutierrez Middle School Garden

  • Volunteers needed: 25 people
